What size do I need? Containers are typically available in 20 or 40 foot lengths. We do occasionally have 45 foot containers also. The first part for one to consider is where do you want this container sitting on your property and do you have adequate space for the driver to properly position the container (see Understanding The Delivery Process). Second would be choosing the size container that will suite your storage needs.
Do I want to purchase, rent or rent-to-own? When making the best decision for your situation, consider how long you expect to need the container. Purchasing containers is great if you know that you want it forever, but alot of time renting a container is more practical and lets you use the container for your project and turn it in at the end. Rent-To-Own is another great way to get the container you need now and pay for it over time. Dog Kennel Containers
This design was built with durability in mind. When our customer came to us needing shelter for her Great Danes, we built a custom unit strong enough to withstand the abuse of 180# dogs. We added windows and vents for ventilation and natural light, openings for the dogs to go in and out, sealed the floors to protect against the weather, partition walls made of steel (built with the walls 4” off the floor to allow for cleaning and drainage) and the used expanded metal to protect against the animals jumping on the windows and risk breaking or hurting themselves.

Step 1: Site Preparation
Containers need to be placed on a fairly level, flat surface. Containers are self-supporting and are designed for the weight of the container to be transferred to the corner posts. It is recommended that the container be placed on cement pads (commonly called trailer bases) which are solid cements pads typically 16” x 16” x 4” thick, but railroad ties or other wooden blocks can also be used. It is very important that all four corners are firmly in contact with the blocks. If a container is sitting on a soft, unstable surface, the container can actually twist, causing the doors to become hard to open and close.
